Scott Chadwick, vice president for academic affairs at Canisius College, was named Xavier’s new provost and chief academic officer in February, replacing Roger Fortin, who’s retiring this spring. Chadwick has been at Canisius since 2007, where he also served as mission and identity officer and professor of communications studies. Prior to that he was at Creighton University, where he served as assistant vice president and associate vice president for academic affairs. “Dr. Chadwick brings with him many years of experience in higher education, a palpable entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for integrating Jesuit and Catholic values and perspectives into the fiber of our University,” says University President Michael J. Graham, S.J. Look for an interview with him in the Fall 2011 issue of Xavier magazine.
