Landmark Gift

Since 1997, members of The 1831 Society have been hanging exclusive gold-colored metal ornaments of campus landmarks on their Christmas trees. Hinkle Hall came first, then Bellarmine Chapel in 1998, Schmidt Hall in 1999, the Cintas Center in 2000, the Musketeer in 2001 and the fund’s 50th anniversary in 2002. This year, it’s the clock tower at the Gallagher Student Center. The holiday gifts from the University’s office of development are a special thank-you to those who give $1,000 or more to the annual fund each year.
