The first academic to fill the new Western & Southern Endowed Chair in Information Systems is Mark Frolick, former professor and associate director of the FedEx Center for Cycle Time Research at the University of Memphis. Considered a leading authority on executive information systems and data warehousing, Frolick’s research has focused on ways to reduce time spent in organizational processes.
Frolick’s other specialties include executive information systems, e-business, cycle time reduction, systems analysis and design, and the diffusion of information technology in organizations.
As holder of the first continuing endowed chair at Xavier, Frolick is a full-time faculty member in the Williams College of Business’ center for information systems. He teaches classes and assists faculty in their research. He also is involved in developing an advisory board for information systems in the Cincinnati area.
“One of my goals is to help build a more synergistic relationship with the business community,” he says.
