The graduate program in Health Services Administration (HSA) is ranked No. 1 among the “Top Business Graduate Schools for Physicians,” according to Modern Healthcare magazine. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill tied Xavier at the No. 1 spot. Programs were ranked on five factors: length of time to complete the program, cost of tuition, the number of days students must spend on campus, the age of the program and the total number of graduates.
The HSA program, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is the oldest program of all ranked and its tuition ranked 11th. Approximately 1,500 students have completed the degree. Xavier also tied with the University of Alabama at Birmingham at 14th for the “Largest Master’s Programs in Health Administration.” Both schools have 90 participants.
